Tupl decides to acquire Digital Agriculture company

Tupl, Inc. today announced that it has signed an agreement with B2FARM Corporation’s Founder and CEO, Antonio Manuel Adrian, to acquire 100% of the shares. Furthermore, the rebranding to TUPL AGRO is effective immediately, and B2FARM’s digital agriculture tool will be called AGRO ADVISOR.

Petri Hautakangas, CEO of Tupl, said: “Ever since our collaboration started with Antonio’s company last year, we have been impressed with B2FARM’s existing customer feedback, and the similarity of digitalization requirements between telecom and agricultural operations. Data visualization and analytics is not nearly enough; market is requiring a machine learning enabled system, reaching automatic, clear recommendations for what actions need to be taken. Our platform, TuplOS, is uniquely geared towards this. Antonio’s company brings in the deepest possible expertise (we are 100% believers in verticalization of AI), and TuplOS enables the worldwide scaling of this knowledge, all the way to automatic action recommendations. This will be benefiting all farmers, agricultural technicians and large agriculture enterprises across the globe. Our AGRO ADVISOR is a cloud-based solution, and can, as of today, serve any customer in the world with very attractive value proposition through low cost SaaS model”

Antonio Manuel Adrian, Head of TUPL AGRO, commented; “Many years ago, I saw the promise of digitalization of agricultural analysis and decision making, and I decided to establish the company. There are a few software providers out there, but the key is to build real, crop-specific analysis with recommendations that easily reach technicians and farmers. B2FARM had the manual process finetuned, but it was only with TuplOS that the cloud based, globally scalable AGRO ADVISOR became possible. Furthermore, I am excited about expanding the solution in a similar way as Tupl has done in telecom, correlating any relevant data available for ML-based decision making.

AGRO ADVISOR (www.agroadvisor.com) is a cloud-based tool where machine learning based system can be tuned-in to specific crops, providing analytics, alerts and recommendations on actions to be taken. Currently, eight crop specific models are available, and AGRO ADVISOR uses data calculated from satellite images (health, humidity, nutrition, and indexes for soil, fertilizer and harvest) and weather station info. Advanced models can easily integrate several other data feeds to complement the analytics and decision-making.
